Job Description

Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT) Minimum of 1 year experience required. License is
REQUIRED.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and other technicians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform routine procedures such as administering vaccinations and medications with veterinarian approval.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge of the veterinary field and practice learned through curriculum
  • Prepare animals for surgery and monitor vitals during surgical procedures
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Monitor pets under general anesthesia
  • Monitor pets recovering from surgery
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of in clinic, Veterinary Medicine experience Technician License required
  • Previous experience working as a veterinary technician is required
  • Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
  • Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
