Job Description
Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT) Minimum of 1 year experience required. License is
REQUIRED.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and other technicians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as administering vaccinations and medications with veterinarian approval.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge of the veterinary field and practice learned through curriculum
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor vitals during surgical procedures
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Monitor pets under general anesthesia
- Monitor pets recovering from surgery
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of in clinic, Veterinary Medicine experience Technician License required- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician is required
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
- Familiarity with veterinary equipment and tools
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
