Job Description

UNDER NEW MANAGAMENT!
!! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, focused, hard working, and love cats!!! We are a small, single veterinarian practice so you will be working directly with her to assist during exams and caring for our feline clients.
Requirements:
Assist the veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures Collect and process laboratory samples accurately, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens, while maintaining proper documentation Provide compassionate animal restraint and handling Perform animal husbandry duties such as feeding, grooming, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary software and paper charts Support front desk activities by communicating effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, and treatment plans Assist in medical-surgical procedures by preparing surgical instruments, monitoring anesthesia under veterinary supervision, and post-operative care Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment that adheres to safety standards and sanitation protocols Demonstrate proficiency in fear free animal restraint techniques and handling cats Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and laboratory testing protocols Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record-keeping and appointment management Experience with veterinary critical care procedures such as animal catheterization and emergency response is highly desirable Strong understanding of drug regulations (DEA) and USDA compliance standards relevant to veterinary practice Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet health needs

Sunday CLOSED Monday 7:30am-6:00pm Tuesday 7:30am-6:00pm Wednesday CLOSED Thursday 7:30am-6:00pm Friday 7:30am-6:00pm Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm

From $20.00 per hour
