You will provide essential support to a board certified surgical specialist in delivering high-quality, exceptional surgical care to small animals. You will be responsible for assisting in various veterinary diagnostic and surgical procedures, ensuring the well-being of our patients, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position requires a strong understanding of animal anatomy, handling techniques, and veterinary practices. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze results. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes to the veterinarian. Administer medications and treatments as directed. Provide care for animals in the kennel, including feeding and cleaning Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper pre-op and post-op care Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the hospital and equipment. Support emergency care for critical cases as needed. Monitor anethesia during surgical procedures Qualifications Proven experience in animal handling, and veterinary settings including surgerey Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with animal anatomy and physiology. Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
