Worth at the corner of East Lancaster and Riverside (next door to the Humane Society). We offer competitive wages and a good working environment.

The ideal candidate will:

actively support veterinarians and other staff in daily patient and client care. be an active listener, paying close attention to details. observe the behavior and conditions of animals. be able to prep and monitor animals for surgical procedures. phlebotomy actively demonstrate dependability and importance of work to clients, supervisors, and other employees. participate in Cross-Training and willing to work in all areas of the hospital. easily adapt to situations that arise such as emergencies, taking initiative, dealing with high volume on the phone as well as in person.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain. Prefer 2+ years of experience. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
