Job Description

Grounds for Hounds Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team at our Camp Bowie location. This position is designed for technicians who are early in their veterinary career and are looking to continue developing their technical skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. We are committed to training and promoting from within and are looking for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and passionate about patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during appointments and treatments Obtain patient histories and assist with room appointments Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats Collect and process laboratory samples Administer medications and treatments as directed Assist with diagnostics, radiology, and patient care procedures Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Maintain accurate medical records Support overall hospital cleanliness and organization
Qualifications:
Previous veterinary clinic experience required Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to safely lift and restrain patients
Schedule:
Full-time (38-39 hours per week) One weekday off each week Every other Saturday required (7:30am-12:30pm) Employees working a Saturday receive an additional half day off during that work week

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
