Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work alongside veterinarians to provide exceptional medical care, perform diagnostic procedures, and assist in critical animal treatments. You will be instrumental in supporting veterinary operations, ensuring animals receive compassionate, high-quality care every day. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection for laboratory testing Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining clean and safe kennel environments Conduct medical collections such as blood draws, urine samples, and other diagnostic tests with precision and aseptic technique Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for examinations and treatments Maintain detailed records of patient histories, laboratory results, and treatment plans using veterinary terminology Support critical care efforts by monitoring animals post-surgery or during hospitalization, ensuring their comfort and safety Manage laboratory tasks including sample processing, analysis, and documentation to assist in accurate diagnosis Requirements Proven experience in veterinary settings with knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology Strong skills in animal handling, including dog handling and pet care across various species Experience with kennel management, pet grooming, pet training, and general animal husbandry practices Familiarity with laboratory procedures and medical collection techniques such as blood sampling or catheterization Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations involving veterinary critical care patients Prior experience with equine or large animal handling is a plus but not required This role is paid and offers a vibrant environment where your skills directly impact animal health and well-being.
