Duties Perform medical collections, including blood draws and sample collection, with precision and care. Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Support laboratory testing by preparing samples, conducting tests, and recording results accurately. Handle kennel duties such as cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals' behavior to promote optimal animal husbandry. Administer pet care tasks including grooming, feeding, and basic pet training to enhance animal well-being. Assist with animal catheterization procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent infections. Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and assisting in emergency situations. Requirements Prior experience in veterinary settings or animal handling is highly preferred, including kennel experience and pet grooming skills. Knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and restraint techniques is essential for effective support. Demonstrated ability to perform medical collections such as blood draws and laboratory tests accurately. Experience with dog handling, equine care, and general animal husbandry enhances your suitability for this role. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures to maintain a sterile environment. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail during critical tasks. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating pet owners about animal care.
