Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, enrichment, and behavior modification. Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, work areas, and equipment in accordance with established health and safety protocols. Assist with animal intake, which may include physical exams, blood draws, administering vaccines, or running diagnostic tests. Observe animals and document signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns according to shelter procedures. Humanely handle all animals using Fear Free procedures and positive reinforcement techniques as trained. This includes animals that may be ill, injured, quarantined, or aggressive, while utilizing established animal care and control equipment and techniques. Assist with adoption processes, including animal presentation and basic information sharing with the public. Support vaccination, medication administration, and basic medical care as directed by veterinary or supervisory staff. Maintain accurate records related to animal health, feeding, medications, behavior, and daily activities. Provide courteous and professional customer service to the public, volunteers, and partner organizations. Follow all safety procedures, infection-control standards, and animal-welfare regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications One (1) or more years of experience in animal care, animal shelter operations, or veterinary assistance. Pay Details $16.00 per hour. Work Week Shift Day shift: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday; 08:00 am
