Luling, Texas Description Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding career? We're seeking a dedicated part time seasonal Mixed Animal Technician to join our amazing team! At Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic-Luling, we strive to be a place of comfort for our clients and their animals—through both sickness and health. In this role, you'll support our team in caring for a variety of species, including equine, cattle, and other farm animals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Patient Handling & Restraint
  • Safely managing a variety of animals, from small pets (dogs & cats) to farm animals and livestock (equine, cattle, and more). Clinic Maintenance
  • Assisting with cleaning, laundry, and general clinic upkeep to maintain a welcoming environment. Medication Administration & Prescriptions
  • Administering medications and preparing prescriptions as directed. Supporting the Veterinary Team
  • Assisting our Veterinarians and Technicians with procedures, treatments, and patient care. Taking on Projects
  • Tackling tasks as assigned—with a smile, of course!
Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required At least 3 years of mixed animal experience preferred (veterinary setting not required). Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!)
