Overnight Neighborhood Veterinary Centers - Nederland is looking for a reliable and compassionate Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is an opportunity for a veterinary technician who has strong foundational skills and wants to play an important role in caring for emergency and critical patients during overnight hours. The right person will be dependable, calm under pressure, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing excellent patient care when our patients need us most. You'll work closely with the veterinary team to monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and communicate important findings clearly. What You'll Do Perform IV catheter placement and venipuncture Obtain and monitor patient vitals Perform patient assessments and communicate changes in condition Monitor post-operative and critical patients Recognize abnormal heart rates and ECG rhythms and promptly communicate concerns Monitor patients throughout the overnight period and respond appropriately to changes Provide treatments and medications as directed by the veterinarian Maintain accurate medical records and communicate patient updates Assist with emergency procedures and patient care as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and prepared treatment area Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide consistent, compassionate care What We're Looking For Veterinary technician experience with solid foundational technical skills Experience with IVC placement and venipuncture Confidence obtaining vitals and performing basic patient assessments Ability to monitor post-operative and critical patients Ability to recognize abnormal heart rates and ECG rhythms Reliable and dependable work ethic Calm, focused approach in an emergency environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Preferred experiences include: overnight critical care, emergency medicine, and surgical technician experience.
