Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical services to our furry patients. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic and the well-being of the animals we serve. Duties As a Veterinary Technician your responsibilities will include: Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures Preparing and maintaining examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization Restraining animals during examinations and treatments to ensure safety for both staff and pets Performing basic laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian Assisting with animal catheterization and X-Ray procedures when necessary Providing support in pet grooming and hygiene tasks Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments Experience The ideal candidate will possess: Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology Experience in veterinary critical care or as a veterinary technician is preferred but not required Skills in dog training or animal restraint techniques are highly valued Familiarity with basic grooming practices for various breeds of pets A strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated If you are passionate about animal care and eager to contribute to a dynamic veterinary team, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
