Veterinary Technician

```Duties```

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood draws and urinalysis
• Administer medications and vaccines to animals under the direction of a veterinarian
• Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Take and develop x-rays
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Prepare animals for surgery, including shaving and cleaning surgical sites
• Provide post-operative care to animals, including wound management and medication administration
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration ```Experience```
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or equivalent education/training
• Proficient in dog handling, including restraint techniques and behavior management
• Knowledge of veterinary medicine, including common diseases, treatments, and medications
• Familiarity with dog training techniques and behavior modification strategies
• Experience in animal care, including feeding, grooming, and basic husbandry practices
• Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols in a veterinary setting
