Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with the ability to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. Please email or bring in your resume! Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, while maintaining accurate records. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Provide nursing care for hospitalized animals, including monitoring vital signs and administering fluids. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Handle animals safely and effectively during examinations or treatments, utilizing proper restraint techniques. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experiences: Previous veterinary technician/veterinary assistant experience is required. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and husbandry practices. Experience with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and critical care is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine. Proficiency in aseptic techniques and pet grooming will be beneficial for this role.
