Valley Veterinary Hospital is a busy, privately owned small animal practice providing both scheduled appointments and surgeries as well as urgent-care walk-ins every day . We are looking for an experienced, motivated CVT or LVT to step into a Lead training role and help develop, support, and elevate our veterinary technician team. We are looking for someone who is confident, passionate about patient care and client education, and enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others become stronger technicians . Our ideal candidate has several years of experience in general practice and emergency experience. What We're Looking For Active CVT or LVT license/certification Several years of veterinary technician experience General practice AND ER experience Strong anesthesia, surgical monitoring, technical skills Excellent communication and client-education skills Confident patient triage abilities and techncial skills Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Passion for mentoring and developing other technicians Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a supportive, positive work environment. Able to work alongside management and our medical director. Someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, cleanliness, and efficiency Traditional Technician Duties Include Checking patients in and out Patient triage Client communication and education Properly conveying discharge instructions and medications Phlebotomy and catheter placement Laboratory procedures Anesthesia monitoring Surgical preparation and assistance Radiology Pharmacy duties Patient treatments and nursing care Cleaning and maintaining treatment areas Assisting doctors with appointments Training Lead Responsibilities In addition to traditional veterinary technician responsibilities, the Training Lead will help: Train and mentor new and existing veterinary technicians Assist with onboarding and competency training Develop and reinforce technician protocols and workflows Ensure technicians are properly trained in anesthesia, surgery, patient monitoring, phlebotomy, laboratory procedures, pharmacy, restraint, and patient care, etc. Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members Help identify training gaps and opportunities for improvement Maintain consistency in patient-care standards and technician procedures Serve as a resource for technicians during busy or challenging cases Work alongside management and doctors to improve technician efficiency and patient care Help foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable technician team Why Valley Veterinary Hospital?
