Part-time Veterinary Technician

We are currently looking for one experienced part-time veterinary technician who is flexible with his or her hours. We are hiring for a part-time position with about 25 hours per week with the potential to go full-time in the future. Applicants must have good communication skills and be reliable, flexible with their schedule, self-starting and able to perform the daily duties of a veterinary technician. He or she must have the ability to place catheters, draw blood, monitor anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, fill prescriptions, and take quality radiographs. We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays. Lehi Animal Hospital is a family owned, private practice. We are growing with a lot of opportunities to learn new skills. Basic Responsibilities:

Checking patients in, getting vitals Putting invoices together Filling Prescriptions Calculating medications to go home as well as, anesthesia medications Giving medications (PO, IM, IV, SQ) Preparing patients for surgery Recovering patients from surgery Discharging surgeries Preparing vaccines and administering vaccines Doing blood draws and running lab machines Taking radiographs Performing dental cleanings Understanding and helping with proper animal restraint Assisting the doctor, and other team members Keeping the hospital clean and tidy
