We are a locally-owned integrative general practice that prides itself on fostering a relationship-based approach with our clients, emphasizing client education, compassionate care, and open communication. Highland Park Pet Hospital is proud to be one of one a few hospitals in the state of Utah that ethically opposes the declawing of cats. Critical technical areas we seek from candidates include proficiency in the following: compassionate client education venipuncture, cystocentesis & IV catheter placement low stress handling skills radiography (including dental radiographs) anesthesia & surgical assistance routine lab skills (ear cytologies, urinalysis, etc) Our ideal candidate is a self motivated, problem solver with excellent communication skills. They will be detail-oriented and enjoy helping others while working at a fast pace - the ability to multitask and thrive in sporadic chaos will help them master this role! They are the driver of our day to day operations, ensuring the doctor & team are well supported to keep the flow of appointments on time and able to meet our high standard of care, while still maintaining a positive, uplifting work environment. Ideal candidates should have at least 2-4+ years of clinical experience and certification is preferred. Roughly half of our patients meow, so applicants should be well versed the nuances of feline behavior and handling.
