Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of companion animals. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and professional environment where pets and their owners feel confident and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your veterinary skills daily while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment. Perform dental cleanings and understand dental terminology to support oral health procedures. Monitor for anesthetic procedures and recover patients from surgery. Handle animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and monitoring pet behavior to promote comfort and safety. Conduct radiography (X-ray) procedures with proper technique and animal positioning to assist in diagnostics. Manage laboratory samples, perform tests, and interpret results related to animal physiology and health status. Provide pet care advice, educate pet owners on animal handling, grooming, and basic health maintenance. Maintain detailed medical records, ensure proper animal restraint during examinations, and uphold safety protocols in all procedures. Experience Previous hands-on animal handling skills are highly valued. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential. Experience with veterinary critical care situations enhances your ability to respond effectively in urgent scenarios. Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis is preferred. Pay:
$30.00 - $34.00 per hour
