Cat loving LVT wanted! This position primarily involves daytime hours Monday through Friday, with one weekend per month and one later start date per week. Busy feline-only practice in Reston at Lake Anne Plaza is seeking a full-time licensed veterinary technician comfortable with anesthesia and cat-friendly handling. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal skills, a collaborative attitude, the ability to multitask, enjoy working with cats, and be comfortable with surgical procedures. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians with appointments, sedated and surgical procedures, and patient hospitalization. Triage patients and monitor hospitalized patients. Assist with medication and vaccine administration, blood pressure, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, ultrasound, etc. Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture and cystocentesis, IM injections, dental cleanings, etc. Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments. Client education We are an AAHA-accredited and AAFP Feline Friendly Gold Certified practice. Competitive pay and benefits package. Must be licensed in Virginia.
