Veterinary Technician

Job description: Our privately owned small animal hospital in Woodbridge is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated and friendly team. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and client education Collect and handle specimens; perform lab procedures Administer IV therapy and monitor patient vital signs Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia Perform emergency first aid and patient monitoring Maintain accurate medical records, invoices, and prescriptions Assist with animal care, cleaning, and hospital sanitation Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Follow up on patient calls and ensure continuity of care Qualifications & Skills Licensed Veterinary Technician (or eligible for licensure) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Experience with phlebotomy and IV catheter placement Comfortable handling and restraining animals, including fractious patients Strong communication and time-management skills Ability to multitask and work well within a team Experience with digital radiology, anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry Familiarity with Idexx and Cornerstone software preferred

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour
