Whisker Wellness Center invites an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. We have grown steadily busy since opening in 2024! We seek someone with the knowledge and skill to set cats at ease even while providing nursing care.
Responsibilities include:
Assist the veterinarian in surgical and dental procedures, prepare patients for surgery, administer anesthesia and fluid support, monitor patients during surgery and recovery Obtain dental radiographs and perform dental cleanings Perform venipuncture and cystocentesis, place IV catheters, perform in-house laboratory tests Client education and demonstrate prescribed treatments as directed by the veterinarian Gently and effectively handle patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments Properly sterilize and maintain all surgical, laboratory, and dental equipment Provide nursing care to hospitalized patientsRequirements:
3 years of prior veterinary technician experience with a focus on dentistry and surgery. Experience in a cat-exclusive practice preferred but not required. Active LVT license in Washington state Passion for cats and cat people Excellent communication and organizational skills Self-motivated, personable, and dedicated to providing top quality care to patients Ability to prioritize and switch tasks in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with EzyVet software is a bonusCompensation/Benefits Include:
Salary Range $28 to $35/hour Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with employer match Employee discount on veterinary care CE and uniform allowance, license reimbursement No night or weekend shifts - maximum 4 day work week. Prefer full time but will consider part time candidates. Insurance benefits available to employees working an average of 30+ hours per week.
