We're Hiring:
Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Technician Desert Veterinary Clinic | Richland, WA $26
  • 30/hour (DOE) + Benefits Desert Veterinary Clinic is a busy, growing 5-doctor practice seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate and skilled team.

Position Details:

  • 30/hour depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time or Part-Time Experience:
Veterinary technician license required. New grads encouraged to apply! Medical & Clinical Duties Collecting patient histories and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., bloodwork, urinalysis, radiographs) Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian Assisting in surgery (e.g., preparing animals, monitoring anesthesia, sterilizing instruments) Wound care and bandage changes Dental cleanings and oral exams Restraint and handling of animals safely during exams and procedure Laboratory & Technical Tasks Running and maintaining in-house lab equipment Collecting and preparing lab samples for external labs Performing in house ear cytologies, skin cytologies and blood smears. Client Communication Educating pet owners on preventive care (vaccines, nutrition, parasite control) Explaining medications, post-surgery care, and treatment plans Answering questions and helping interpret vet recommendations in accessible language
