- Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our dynamic veterinary team.
In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care and support veterinary professionals in delivering high-quality medical services. Your expertise in animal handling, veterinary procedures, and clinical support will ensure our patients receive compassionate, efficient, and comprehensive care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, equines, and other small animals, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures such as animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment. Perform animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care, and maintaining cleanliness of kennels and treatment areas. Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Manage dental procedures by preparing animals for dental cleanings, assisting during treatments, and understanding dental terminology. Handle pet training and dog handling activities to promote calm behavior during examinations and procedures. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts with veterinary terminology, and document treatment plans accurately. Support laboratory work by collecting samples, performing tests, and interpreting results related to animal physiology and health status. Ensure proper animal restraint using humane techniques to minimize stress and injury during examinations or treatments. Assist in emergency critical care situations with veterinary critical care experience to stabilize animals promptly. Contribute to pet grooming and animal care routines that enhance overall well-being and comfort of the animals in our facility. Experience Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary clinic setting is highly preferred. Kennel experience demonstrating proficiency in animal handling and care routines. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is essential. Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray imaging, and pet grooming, Anesthesia is advantageous.. Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, pet care practices, and laboratory testing are key assets for success.
