Job Description
Heritage Animal Hospital is looking to add to our team! We are a fast-paced small animal clinic with two locations and a total of 5 doctors. This position demands empathy, work ethic, an upbeat personality, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a passion for working with animals AND their people. At Heritage we work as a team. Our team consists of Veterinarians, Certified Vet Techs, Vet Assistants, and Front Desk Receptionists. Each part of the team has various complementary skills used to work together towards a common goal, which in our case is providing the very best animal care and customer service to pet owners that we can. Everyone is an integral part of the team and being able to effectively execute your role is essential to the success of the entire team. We are accepting resumes for Certified Veterinary Technicians. The position will be filled by the person that we feel is the best fit for our team. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, assisting the DVMs in a variety of tasks, preparing surgery patients and surgical areas, monitoring anesthesia, hospitalized patient care, client communication and education, maintaining a clean and orderly work space, lab work, assisting the front desk when needed and answering a multi-line phone system. This is a brief list of details, and responsibilities of the position can differ from one day to the next. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and skills that they can bring to our team. Our office hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. We are open Saturdays from 7:30am-12pm. Full-time team members generally work 4 days per week and there is a rotating schedule for Saturdays leaving approximately 1 Saturday per month per team member. We have a probationary period for all new hires, after which you are eligible for all benefits which include uniform allowance, PTO days, discounts on veterinary care, and more. We are open to candidates looking for either part-time or full-time work. As stated above, the position will be filled by the person that we feel is the best fit for our team. - Veterinary experience
- Animal handling experience
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Ability to perform animal catheterization
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques
- Knowledge of animal anatomy
- Previous experience in pet care
- Familiarity with dental terminology
- Animal husbandry knowledge
- Veterinary critical care experience
- Laboratory experience
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures.
Job Types:

$23.00- $28.
