In this role, you will support veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of companion animals. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging to aid in accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgeries and procedures. Handle patients with care. Utilizing dog and cat handling skills, including fear free techniques to ensure safety and comfort. Conduct dental cleanings, utilize dental terminology accurately, and educate pet owners on oral health. Operate X-ray equipment, including dental radiology. Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient progress in compliance with veterinary standards. Qualifications Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited program. Proven veterinary technician experience with familiarity in veterinary terminology and animal anatomy knowledge. Experience working with dogs and cats. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques required. Strong animal handling skills. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining compassionate care for animals.
