Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the technical skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to pets. This role involves working closely with animals, their owners, and the veterinary team to ensure the health and well-being of our patients. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Provide basic animal husbandry and care, including feeding, bathing, and grooming. Monitor vital signs and provide veterinary critical care as needed. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection. Assist in animal catheterization when required. Educate pet owners on proper pet care and health maintenance. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred. Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is a plus. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Willingness to learn new skills related to veterinary medicine.
