Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician with UC/ER experience to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your expertise in animal handling and veterinary practices will be crucial in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry, critical care, and a passion for providing excellent pet care. We are a private practice 24/7 hospital with over 20 doctors. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed. Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic or kennel setting. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance. Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques. Handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively during procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in dog handling and general animal husbandry practices. Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is preferred. Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior is essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred but not mandatory.
