Through our flagship initiative— Pet Pulse After Hours ER —we're creating a sustainable, compassionate solution to a long-standing gap in veterinary emergency care. For over 30 years, Teton County's veterinary clinics have struggled with rotating after hours coverage, leading to burnout, staff turnover, and limited availability. Our urgent care hybrid hospital (opening December 2026) offers care when regular clinics are closed, working in partnership with existing veterinarians. Our nonprofit structure lets us focus on what matters: veterinary care, not profit margins. We are seeking a Credentialed or Highly Experienced Veterinary Technician who is passionate about animal health and eager to make a positive impact. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the first After Hours veterinary care facility in our area. You will be providing a VITAL service to the pets and people of our surrounding communities. Our current emergency pet facility is over 85 miles away and over 2 mountain passes. By joining us on this mission, you will be able to provide true 24 hour care to hospitalized pets between Pet Pulse and their RDVM. You will have the chance to save pets that may not have made it all the way to the current ER. Duties Triage & support emergency medicine efforts by providing critical care, vascular access, and assisting with intensive care protocols. Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with expertise in anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance Perform laboratory work including phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and radiology diagnostics such as X-ray imaging Handle animal restraint safely and effectively across various species, including dogs, cats, and possibly avians & exotics (doctor dependent). Administer medications accurately via IV insertion, catheterization, and other routes while maintaining aseptic techniques Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary software and ensure proper documentation of procedures and treatments Experience Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary emergency medicine. Hands-on experience in veterinary critical care, anesthesia monitoring (including general anesthesia), and laboratory work is essential.
