HVAC General Manager / Division Leader | Dayton, OH $80,000 to $110,000 Base | Full Benefits | Profit Share & Performance Incentives The Opportunity An established residential and light commercial HVAC company in the Dayton market is looking for a proven operator to lead the entire HVAC division. This is not a corporate middle management seat. You will have full autonomy to run the business day to day, make hiring decisions, manage vendor relationships, and drive revenue growth. We need someone who has led technicians, managed callbacks, run on-call rotations, and knows what a good install looks like because they have done it or managed it firsthand. Your Responsibilities Full P&L ownership for the HVAC division including revenue, gross margin, and net operating profit Manage daily dispatch board, technician routing, and emergency/after-hours service coverage Hire, train, coach, and retain residential service technicians, installers, and apprentices Oversee equipment changeouts, system replacements, ductwork modifications, and new construction installs Implement and manage ServiceTitan or equivalent field service management platform Develop and maintain flat rate pricebook for service, repair, and replacement Build and grow a residential maintenance agreement / comfort club program Manage supply house and distributor relationships (Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, etc.) Run weekly team meetings, review technician scorecards, and track ticket averages and conversion rates Coordinate with ownership on marketing spend, lead flow, and seasonal staffing needs Handle commercial service and light commercial project estimation under 10 tons Own customer escalations, warranty claims, and quality control What You Bring 7+ years in residential HVAC service and install operations in a leadership role Hands on trade background. You started in the field or have deep technical credibility with techs Experience running or building a service department from scratch or through a growth phase Working knowledge of refrigerant handling, load calculations, code compliance, and equipment sizing Proficiency with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, or similar dispatch and CRM platforms Comfort with financial reporting: reading a P&L, managing labor cost, tracking revenue per tech Strong recruiter mindset. You know how to find and keep good tradespeople in a tight labor market EPA Universal certification required; NATE certification preferred Valid driver's license and clean driving record Compensation & Benefits $80,000 to $110,000 base salary depending on experience Profit share and performance bonus tied to division results.
