HVAC Maintenance Technician Draper, UT 84020 $29.49 - $35.52 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract $29.49 - $35.52 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment across various properties. Your expertise will help create safe, comfortable environments for our clients and contribute to the seamless functioning of property systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive technician eager to apply their mechanical knowledge and field service experience in a fast-paced setting. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing fixtures. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct equipment repair using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments. Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems involving HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, appliances, and property maintenance equipment. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and logs documenting all repairs and inspections performed. Assist with installation projects involving HVAC systems or related mechanical components following safety protocols. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between sites as needed. Experience Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, or property maintenance is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair. Familiarity with construction processes and ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans. Field service experience working on air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, or similar machinery is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC/R standards and safety procedures to ensure compliant work practices. Experience using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or similar electrical testing devices is preferred. Prior experience with mechanic tasks involving welding or equipment installation will be considered an asset.
