Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing components. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Conduct field service operations on HVAC/R equipment, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to repair or replace faulty components. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and electrical testing devices; perform equipment repair or replacement as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations. Support property maintenance tasks including appliance repair, welding repairs, and general mechanical troubleshooting to ensure all systems operate efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), or related mechanical fields. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems design principles, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately; familiarity with HVAC/R codes and safety regulations. Mechanical knowledge including boiler operation, equipment repair, welding skills, and general property maintenance experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a vehicle safely. Hands-on experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; proficiency in using field service tools for diagnostics and repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
