HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

HVAC Technician ASM Mechanical is currently seeking an HVAC/ Refrigeration Lead Service Technician to join our team in LaPorte County and surrounding areas.

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the HVAC Technician position is to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical systems of commercial and residential buildings. The HVAC Technician will also be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Essential Functions:

• Perform preventative maintenance on building mechanical systems and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair building mechanical systems (i.e., motors, Electrical Systems, HVAC Systems).
• Diagnose and repair building electrical systems (i.e., Lighting Systems, Refrigeration Units).
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration system equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Follow all company safety rules and regulations including use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in the field, following all company safety procedures including reporting unsafe conditions or work practices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician preferred. Refrigeration experience preferred. -Sheet metal Experience required
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems preferred.

Refrigeration experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems preferred. Knowledge of building plumbing preferred. Knowledge of building electrical system preferred.'

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
