Hybrid Class A CDL Driver and Warehouse

Overview Allied Crawford is seeking a skilled and reliable Class A CDL truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating flatbeds. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of steel to local customers. This short-haul hybrid driver position will work as a back up driver, and work in the warehouse on days they do not drive. This is an hourly position, with overtime possible. Monday through Friday only. No weekends. No overnights. Allied Crawford offers competitive hourly wages. Performance based raise after 90 days. 100% company paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance for the employee after 90 days. 2nd run bonuses are also available for this position. The warehouse portion of this position will come with training, both hands on and with books. You will be alongside a trainer whenever in the warehouse, until your training is complete. Duties Operate and drive trucks to transport steel to our local customers. Ensuring that all cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving. Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities. Excellent time management skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
