Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydro-seed Truck Operator to join our team. The Hydro-seed Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a Hydro-seed truck to safely and efficiently excavate using high-pressure water and a vacuum system. This role requires a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement, as well as a commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality work.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Operate and maintain a Hydro-seed truck for safe and efficient excavation and vacuuming of soil, mud, and debris.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Transport materials and debris to designated disposal or storage sites.
  • Work closely with project managers, crew members, and clients to ensure quality and timely completion of excavation tasks.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation, including hours of operation and job-specific details.
  • Monitor fluid levels, pressure gauges, and other equipment components to ensure efficient operation.
  • Assist in routine maintenance and minor repairs of the Hydro-seed truck and equipment.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay current with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure all job requirements are met.
Required Qualifications :
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement .
  • Proven experience in operating Hydro-seed trucks or similar heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to excavation, underground utilities, and hazardous materials.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends, when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Previous experience with Hydro-seed excavation or hydro-excavation projects.
  • Familiarity with utility mapping or locates.
  • Knowledge of local and federal transportation laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements :
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and around heavy equipment.
  • Stamina to work long shifts in varying weather conditions.
