Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled IC Design Engineer to work with a talented team developing ASICs for industrial sensing applications. This role involves working across the full design cycle from napkin drawings through package testing on complex integrated circuits. Key Responsibilities Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits such as amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, PLLs, bandgaps, LDOs, and signal conditioning blocks. Collaborate with internal and customer teams to define specifications and translate system requirements into circuit implementations. Perform circuit simulation, verification, and optimization (e.g., SPICE, Monte Carlo, corner analysis). Lead or contribute to layout reviews to ensure performance, matching, and parasitic considerations. Support silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization in the lab. Work cross-functionally with digital, layout, test, and applications teams. Document design methodologies, test results, and performance analysis. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering (Master s/PhD preferred). 8+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design, although exceptionally talented individuals with less experience are encouraged to apply. Strong fundamentals in transistor-level schematic design, noise analysis, and stability. Experience with an industry-standard IC design tool suite (Cadence Virtuoso, Tanner Tools, etc.). Proven experience designing at least one of the following: Data converters (ADC/DAC), low-noise analog front ends, power management circuits (LDOs, DC-DC), clocking circuits (PLLs, DLLs), Optoelectronic sensors (photoelectric, time of flight, linear imaging), DSP. Solid, fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics and manufacturing process variations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with design in high voltage BCD processes. Sensor design, particularly for industrial applications. Familiarity with mixed-signal verification flows (AMS, Verilog-A, SystemVerilog). Experience with high-speed or low-power design techniques. Lab experience with silicon validation and debug equipment. Knowledge of ESD, reliability, and packaging effects.
