Ice Cream Shop Manager

About Us We're a community-focused ice cream shop looking for a hands-on Shop Manager to help run daily operations and lead our team. Job Overview This is an active, floor-based leadership role — not an office-only manager position. You will work alongside your team scooping ice cream, serving guests, opening and closing the shop, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. You'll also handle key responsibilities like scheduling, inventory tracking, ordering supplies, and supporting the Assistant Manager. You'll work closely with ownership to help ensure consistency, efficiency, and great customer experience. Responsibilities Work shifts on the floor (scooping, serving, customer service) Open and close the shop using standard procedures Lead daily shift operations and support team members Train and coach new employees Assist with scheduling and team coordination Track inventory and place routine supply orders Maintain cleanliness, safety, and food quality standards Handle customer concerns professionally Communicate daily needs and updates to ownership Work closely with the Assistant Manager to ensure smooth operations What We're Looking For 1-3 years experience in food service, retail, or hospitality Prior shift lead or assistant manager experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable working on the floor in a fast-paced environment Organized and reliable with attention to detail Willing to learn inventory and ordering systems Must be 18+ Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods Reliable transportation
