CONTRACT NIGHT POSITION, WEEKLY PAY, BONUS AND TOP PAY
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurse to join our dynamic critical care team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery through advanced clinical skills and attentive patient assessment. Duties Monitor and assess critically ill patients, utilizing advanced physiology knowledge and medical terminology to identify changes in condition promptly. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Operate and manage complex medical equipment such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors while maintaining proper documentation within EMR systems like Epic or Cerner. Perform comprehensive physical examinations, vital signs assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans. Coordinate with physicians for procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, or wound suturing, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Provide patient education on medication administration, pain management strategies, and discharge planning to promote recovery at home or in long-term care settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, emergency medicine, trauma medicine, or specialty units such as PICU or Neonatal ICU to deliver seamless patient care. Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration; experience working in an ICU setting is essential. Demonstrated critical care experience within hospital environments; familiarity with Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; experience with
ICD-9/10
coding and medical documentation standards. Strong skills in airway management, ventilator operation, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols, acute pain management, and emergency response procedures including basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's care is advantageous. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings like emergency rooms or urgent care units; excellent patient assessment and triage skills are crucial.
