Working on the drag crew puts you right in the middle of the action—not in the stands, but on the track. Our team plays a vital role in facilitating each race, helping maintain a safe racing environment while delivering an unforgettable experience for every competitor who pulls into the lanes. Most drag crew positions can be learned quickly, and we'll provide the training you need to succeed. Within just a few weeks, you'll be building skills and gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of drag racing. While this is a fun and exciting industry, it's also a professional environment where teamwork, reliability, and strong work ethic matter. A genuine interest in motorsports and the drive to learn can easily make up for a lack of experience—we're happy to train motivated individuals who are ready to grow. Many of our positions are cross-trained, meaning you'll have the opportunity to learn multiple roles around the track. Open Positions:

Water Box Official:

This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the water box area used for burnouts, ensuring optimal track conditions for racers while maintaining a safe and efficient racing environment. The ideal candidate will carefully manage the amount of water applied to the racing surface, keep the area clear of excess rubber, debris, and fluids, and remain constantly observant for any hazards on the starting line or down track. This position also assists race control in maintaining the pace and flow of the event, helping ensure a smooth and professional racing program. Because this role operates in the heart of race action, the individual must remain highly alert and aware of their surroundings at all times, prioritizing both personal safety and the safety of racers, crew members, and fellow staff. Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the center of the action at the starting line and contributing directly to the success and safety of race day operations.

Tower Stage:

We are looking for a sharp, focused individual to serve in a critical communications role during elimination rounds. This position is responsible for accurately relaying car numbers and dial-ins to Race Control, specifically the clock operator, ensuring that the timing system reflects the correct information for each run. Working in a fast-paced environment where every second matters, this individual must be able to think quickly, communicate clearly, and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure. The information provided in this role directly impacts race operations and the integrity of each pass down the track. Because racers rely on precise timing and data, attention to detail and consistency are absolutely essential. A small mistake in this position can significantly affect a racer's experience and the outcome of a race. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy environments, enjoys being part of the core race operations team, and takes pride in delivering precision, reliability, and professionalism when it matters most.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older Be able to work in a team environment and take direction

• we work very close with one another and at a very fast pace. We provide the equipment used to prep, clean and dry the racing surface. Prior equipment experience is not necessary, although preferred. You must be comfortable and willing to learn. Communicate Professionally
• Good verbal communication skills are required not only internally with your teammates but also with our guests. Reliable transportation
• Our day starts early and could end very late. Reliable transportation, preferably yourself, is required. Because your ride cannot get you here on time or wait until the end of your shift, are not valid reasons to be late or to leave your position before the race has been completed. Stamina
• hours can be long, and we do work in an outdoor environment; therefore, endurance is required.

You must be prepared for all elements and conditions. Majority of these positions are located outside in a variety of temperature and weather conditions. You will be on your feet most, if not all your shift. Shift lengths and end times are all driven by the event and you must be flexible.

Positions Requiring Previous Experience:

Announcer:

You will be the 'voice' of World Wide Technology. Ultimately, we are in the entertainment industry, and you will be the one driving the entertainment level for our racers and our fans. Those interested must have automotive knowledge, as you will be required to have meaningful conversations about the various vehicles and be able to recognize the different vehicles solely based upon sight, as information is not always provided and/or entered in the computer data base. A general understanding of the sport of drag racing is needed. It may appear simple in concept; however, the various classes have more intricacies than meets the eye. The willingness to learn or get to the know racers during a season or weekend is necessary. As well as having the gift to gab or story telling talent. You are not only announcing the outcome and the facts of the race, but you are also doing it in a fashion that entertains at the same time. The more knowledgeable you are about the racers and the sport the more successful you will be in this position. Good organizational skills are also necessary, as you will constantly adjust on the fly and will be required to convey information even when there is downtime on the dragstrip.

Clock Operator:

This person is responsible for accurately entering every car number and dial

• in for the race manually; therefore, focus and concentration is always necessary.

Computer and typing skills are a plus. The software used is custom to the drag racing industry, therefore you are not expected to have any experience with this coming in. Keys to success here are the ability to pay attention to detail, everything else will be taught on the job!

Starter:

This position does require that the individual understand race procedures, as you will be responsible in starting the individual races and occasionally making judgement calls. Attention to detail is necessary. Must have good communication skills and be able to react quickly to situations. This position will take the lead on track prep and ensure that the starting line and the racetrack is always clear of debris and fluid. This position requires constant awareness of your surroundings, due to the fast-paced environment.

Starter Assistant:

This official will work closely with the starter. This individual will assist in track prep; maintain the starting line area by keeping the area clean of debris and fluids; and is a second set of eyes to witness the outcome of a race. This is a fast-paced position that requires constant awareness of your surroundings.

Stage Lane Official:

As a Staging Lane Official, you are responsible for the organization of the various classes in competition. Employee must be able to differentiate between the classes and be able to load the cars in their appropriate designated lanes. Good communication skills are necessary, as you will need to relay information from race control to the racers or vice versa; and address any issues or questions that may arise. These two positions work hand and hand in the same area, therefore we will try to cross train between these two positions. If you would ONLY like to hold one position or the other, that is also acceptable but will lead to limited hours.

Tech Inspector:

As a Tech Inspector, you are responsible for inspecting the race vehicle to ensure the vehicle falls in line with the recommended safety and competition specifications outlined in the NHRA rulebook. Automotive and mechanical knowledge is required, and a good understanding of racing safety equipment is a plus.
