Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops academic, prevocational, and functional daily living skills training programs and curriculum in order for adults with disabilities to achieve personal adjustment and maximum independence. Trains/supervises direct service staff, and provides case management by performing the following duties.
  • Treats others with respect, courtesy and tact and promote an environment that encourages diversity and inclusion
  • Develops Implementation Strategies and assures staff are trained and follow individual plans
  • Develops individual class/work schedule and trains/supervises direct service staff in providing these services
  • Provides case management, schedules and coordinates individual staffing, maintains and updates individual files
  • Assists with individual supervision during large group activities and fills in for direct service staff during absences
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff under direction of Manager. Approves staff schedules and submits weekly payroll.
  • Assures daily individual attendance and work production records are accurate and turned in daily
  • Oversees program incentive store, secures/distributes funds generated from the store. Responsible for individual's leisure funds and proper tracking of expenditures
  • Assists with coordinating individual transportation to/from day program. May fill in on routes as needed
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures

            Work Experience Requirements:
            • Computer proficiency (Vertex/Microsoft/Gmail)
            • Bachelors degree in Human Services
            • 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities
            • Must qualify to be certified as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP)
            Physical Requirements:
            • Safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
            • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
            • Must stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs
            • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person and on the phone
            • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision
