Insight Global's client is seeking a highly experienced Immigration Legal Secretary to support a busy immigration practice focused on VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) and EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) matters. This is a hands-on, substantive role for someone who truly understands immigration workflows and can independently manage cases, client communication, and deadlines with minimal oversight. This position is not entry-level and is not a training role. forms, and supporting evidence
  • Ensure proper filing, submission, and mailing of immigration materials to the correct courts and agencies
  • Maintain and monitor strict calendaring of deadlines, hearings, filings, and follow-ups
  • Manage client communication primarily via email, providing clear, accurate updates and maintaining a professional paper trail
  • Triage and process incoming mail and documents by:
  • -Saving materials to the correct case files Summarizing what was received Flagging items that require attorney review or action
  • Coordinate workflows so that cases are 98% complete and ready for attorney review, minimizing rework
  • Exercise strong judgment and autonomy, knowing when to proceed independently versus when to escalate
  • Work effectively with an external answering service by reviewing intake emails and directing follow-up appropriately
Compensation:
$33/hr to $37/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
