Job Description
The US Customs Northern & Southern Border Operations Manager and FAST coordinator is responsible to manage all Customs activities related to the importation and exportation of vehicles, parts and non-production materials in accordance with the U.S. Customs Laws and Regulations. The responsibility is for shipments from the ports of entry from Canada & Mexico, and all air/ocean imports.
Coordinate with our Mexico and Canada Customs team on allied shipmentsConsult with Stellantis Customs Compliance Manager to ensure qualified goods are entered claiming USMCA Free Trade AgreementSupport Duty Drawback Program to ensure that duties and taxes are recovered on products that qualify for duty drawbackWork with North American Plant personnel and Logistics to comply with CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) requirementsManage our CTPAT Account in CBP's CTPAT PortalCommunicate with US Customs Officials to resolve border and post importation issuesRespond to CF28/CF29/Liquidated Damages Notices issued by CBPCoordinate system development on US Customs requirements and make recommendations for changes that enhance the efficiency of operations and increase compliance with the regulations.
Represent Customs on various cross-functional teams at all levels in the organizationManage a service provider(s) for support with Import Operations and ensuring KPI's are established and metDriving IT Process Improvements that streamline processes and increase compliance

Ensure that all classes of goods enter the United States with minimal delaysMaintain liaison with US Customs Brokers, rail carriers, highway carriers and Stellantis Logistics to ensure adherence to internal processes and US Customs RequirementsCoordinate timely processing of highway shipments through FAST (Free and Secure Trade)Handle all issues associated with theFAST & PAPS

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Finance, Economics or related fieldU.S. Customs Broker License requiredMinimum 6 years experience in Customs Compliance, preferably in the automotive industryBroad knowledge of US Customs rules and regulationsExperience in associated supply chain management disciplinesPrior experience supervising multi-disciplinary and operational teamsLeadership skills managing professional team of customs technical expertsProven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenPreferred Qualifications:
