Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and engagement activities Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is encouraged Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized care Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with mobility using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients' families and healthcare teams A compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving ensures the best outcomes for those you serve Embark on a fulfilling career that empowers you to provide essential support within the comfort of clients' homes.
