This vital role involves providing personalized care in clients' homes, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being Requirements Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards essential for maintaining confidentiality Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families This role offers a dynamic environment where your caregiving skills will directly enhance the quality of life for those you serve.
