In Home/BHIS social worker

Family Solutions Services, Inc. is currently hiring a behavioral health interventions services worker to join our in-home social work team. Interested candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in social work, human services or a related field. Experience working with children and/or families is preferred. This position will be based in our Orange City office, but travel to surrounding counties will be required. Cases are primarily in Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth and Cherokee counties. Travel is required to client homes to work with children and their families. Candidate will provide skill-based interventions for individuals that focus on reducing behavioral health symptoms by teaching skills such as communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, feeling expression and identification, anger management, coping and impulse control skills, as well as relationship building skills. Candidate will teach skills in an individual and family setting while assisting the client in gaining a new set of skills to decrease their psychological and behavioral symptoms. Candidate will work collaboratively with the assessing clinician regarding individual needs and strengths, family functioning, and potential child and family risk factors to assure family's service needs are met. Ideal candidate must be independent and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Position is part time but could be full time.

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
