In House Counsel Real Estate Brokerage

DJ & Lindsey Real Estate is seeking an experienced In House Counsel to join our executive team in a full time, in office leadership role supporting one of Florida's highest producing independent real estate brokerages. This is not a traditional corporate legal position. This is a high impact opportunity for someone who understands both the legal and operational side of real estate and wants to help guide a fast moving company that sells thousands of homes across multiple Florida markets. We are looking for someone who can operate as a strategic advisor to ownership and leadership while helping proactively navigate brokerage compliance, contracts, operational risk management, NAR related changes, local board regulations, commission related developments, advertising compliance, and the constantly evolving real estate landscape. The ideal candidate understands that modern real estate brokerages operate far beyond simple transactions. This role requires someone who can think strategically, move quickly, communicate effectively, and help leadership stay ahead of industry changes instead of reacting to them after the fact. You will work directly alongside ownership, executive leadership, and outside litigation counsel to help guide legal strategy, brokerage compliance, operational decision making, and risk management across the company. Responsibilities Advise leadership on Florida real estate law and brokerage compliance Review contracts, disclosures, commission disputes, operational policies, and transactional risk Stay fully up to date on NAR policy changes, local Realtor board regulations, MLS compliance, commission related developments, and industry legal changes across all active markets Assist with risk management, brokerage procedures, and internal policy development Review marketing, advertising, recruiting initiatives, and consumer facing materials for compliance Provide guidance on agent related matters and operational decision making Work alongside leadership to help build scalable systems and processes that protect the company while allowing continued growth Coordinate with outside litigation counsel when escalated legal matters arise Help proactively identify areas of legal exposure before they become operational problems Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing Strong understanding of Florida real estate law, brokerage operations, contracts, and compliance Familiarity with NAR regulations, MLS rules, local board policies, and commission related industry changes Experience within a real estate brokerage, title company, real estate law firm, or high volume transactional environment preferred Strong business judgment and communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to operate inside a fast paced, high accountability environment Must be able to work in office full time Why Join DJ & Lindsey Real Estate DJ & Lindsey Real Estate has closed over 10,000 transactions and over $4 billion in real estate sales while building one of the largest online lead generation platforms in Florida.
