Independent Maintenance Contractor

Float SNJ / Fire & Ice is seeking a reliable, self-directed Independent Maintenance Contractor to help maintain, improve, and optimize our wellness facilities. This is not a traditional hourly employee position. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, fixing things proactively, and taking pride in creating beautiful, functional environments without constant supervision. The role operates through a shared maintenance and improvement task board. Each project/task is assigned a "bounty" payout based on complexity, skill required, and estimated effort. Contractors are free to claim and complete tasks on their own schedule.

Examples of tasks may include:

Light plumbing repairs and alterations Painting and cosmetic touch-ups Preventative maintenance Organizing storage and inventory systems Basic electrical work (within skill level) Equipment maintenance Cleaning and optimizing mechanical areas Minor construction/repair projects Identifying and documenting potential future issues Ideal candidates are: Highly self-motivated Trustworthy and accountable Mechanically inclined Organized and proactive Comfortable working independently Good at problem solving and prioritization Interested in long-term improvement rather than "just punching a clock"

Important Notes:
