About the role We are looking for a Craft Electrician to support the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment and infrastructure across the Kennecott Copper operation. About the role We are looking for a Craft Electrician to support the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment and infrastructure across the Kennecott Copper operation. Reporting to the Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance and working in a collaborative and safety-focused environment within Electrical Maintenance, you will be: Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems from 12V DC to 13.8kV AC , including switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels Diagnosing and repairing AC and DC motors , including motor control circuits and starters Maintaining and troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters Installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation such as proximity sensors, level sensors, RTDs, and pressure sensors Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific policies About you A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Proven experience working as an industrial or craft electrician in a heavy industrial or mining environment Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation across low and medium voltage applications Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Willingness and ability to work a 4 on / 4 off continuous roster A collaborative mindset with respect for others in a diverse and inclusive team environment What we offer We believe in recognizing and rewarding your hard work, innovative ideas, and dedication. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world, comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
