About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Systems Engineer to join our high-impact production team. In this role, you will serve as a technical lead, driving the modernization of plant infrastructure and ensuring the peak performance of complex industrial automation systems. Responsibilities Design, implement, and commission robust electrical and instrumentation control systems to optimize facility output. Lead end-to-end capital improvement projects, managing technical requirements from initial concept through final execution. Provide expert-level troubleshooting and diagnostic support to maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime. Spearhead reliability initiatives and process upgrades that directly enhance production efficiency and safety standards. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new technologies and drive sustainable operational advancements. Develop and enforce rigorous safety protocols and best practices across all electrical infrastructure. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex industrial equipment and control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders. Preferred Skills Direct experience in heavy industrial, pulp, paper, or converting sectors. Proficiency in industrial automation, PLC programming, and instrumentation. Hands-on experience managing capital projects and process improvement lifecycles.
