About us We are located on the shores of Lake Michigan in the centrally located picturesque City of Manistique, MI. Our independent Healthmart Pharmacy is an important part of our local community. We service a five county area taking care of our friends and neighbors, considering them our patients, not just a customer. We are open seven days a week.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Duties:
  • Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
  • Provide counseling to patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive medication treatment plans
  • Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and adjust treatment as necessary
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations governing pharmacy practice
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and optimize medication outcomes
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing
  • Familiarity with utilization review processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care
