Philly's Best Steak Company Inc. is a leading Philadelphia area meat processing facility specializing in the manufacturing of Philly-style steak products. We pride ourselves on being family-owned, providing our employees with a safe, friendly, and collaborative work environment. As an Industrial Electrician at Philly's Best Steak, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient electrical operation of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through proactive maintenance strategies. This will include diagnostics and repair of equipment such as motors, wiring, sensors, mixers, junction boxes, industrial microwaves, freezers, etc.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance:
Collaborate with production teams to continuously decrease downtime and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by implementing proactive electrical maintenance strategies. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including power distribution, control panels, lighting, industrial equipment, and other facility-related electrical components. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal functionality. Perform repairs and replacements of faulty electrical components to maintain and improve equipment performance.Emergency Repairs:
Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, malfunctions, and emergencies, working closely with production teams to prioritize and address critical issues affecting operations.Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules. Update electrical drawings and documentation to reflect modifications and improvements.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams, as well as production personnel, to coordinate electrical maintenance activities and ensure a smooth workflow.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to and enforce all electrical safety protocols and procedures, identifying potential electrical hazards and implementing corrective actions.Electrical Upgrades and Modifications:
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement electrical upgrades and modifications, enhancing equipment performance, energy efficiency, and safety.Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage electrical spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components. Coordinate with procurement to order replacement parts as needed. All other duties as assignedRequirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in electrical systems preferred. Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and lighting. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and protocols in an industrial setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various environmental conditions. Physical agility to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
