Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician for our DeLand, FL plant
Summary :
Contributing to maintaining the efficient running of all aspects of the designated production line. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.Essential Duties:
- Follows up on work assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
- Comply with company H&S program and regulations.
- Coordinates resource requirements with the Engineering Manager and other Team Leaders.
- Attends all meetings as required.
- Participates in cross-training efforts across different workstations/cells.
- Contributes to the daily output of the workstation/cell: o Product is manufactured within standard times.
- Guarantees that any task performed within the work cell is completed in accordance with the written Standard Operating Procedure(s) for that task.
- Coordinates with the Materials Manager to ensure that all required supplies are on hand when needed.
- Works with the Engineering/Maintenance functions to resolve any technical difficulties the team may encounter.
- Responsible for completion of all Preventive Maintenance requirements within the work cell. o Reports maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Ensures that all rules/policies stated within the Employee Handbook, the Company Safety Programs, and any federal or state guidelines/laws are being adhered to within the work cell.
- Establish an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell.
- Promote and sustain management programs that continuously improve internal processes.
- Ensure Compliance with company policies, processes, and regulations and complete any necessary training.
- Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
- Follow Compliance requirements per "
KNA-SOP-1705
Compliance Roles and Responsibilities."- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college or technical degree or certification (related field) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in insulated panel or related manufacturing or metal building projects.
- Lean Six Sigma green belt a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Other Skills and Requirements:
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Good telephone and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Maintaining focus in noisy or fast-paced environments. Performing tasks independently or in teams. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, or chemicals, depending on the facility.
